The Frenchman's side is flying at the moment, having last suffered defeat in October 2019. Since then, Los Blancos have gone on a 16-match unbeaten streak, drawing just five of those games.
Zidane also continued his 100% record in finals when he won his 10th piece of silverware for Real this past Sunday, in a penalty shootout victory over rivals Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup.
The 47-year-old, however, will not be resting on his laurels, and is reportedly interested in a number of players. Whether or not he makes moves for any of them this month remains to be seen, but here are five players who have been heavily linked with the Spanish giants.

Manchester United's Paul Pogba is still believed to be Zidane's dream signing, although the player's agent, Mino Raiola, has insisted his client would not be leaving the Red Devils this season. Many publications in England and Spain have previously covered Real's interest in the midfielder, but will Zidane ever get to work with his desired target?
New reports suggest that the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners could make a move for Chelsea target Timo Werner. Sky Germany has reported that Los Blancos are leading the race for the 23-year-old's signature, with his release clause for clubs outside of the Bundesliga reportedly set at €30 million (R561 million).
Liverpool's Sadio Mane, who was recently crowned the 2019 CAF African Footballer of the Year, has also previously been mentioned as a potential target for the French tactician, but it might be difficult for Real, even with their stature, to tempt the player to leave the Reds.
The Madrid club could complete the signing of 17-year-old Brazilian playmaker Reinier from Flamengo in the coming weeks, though. The youngster is only able to sign a contract with Los Blancos when he turns 18, which will occur this coming Sunday.
