Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane escaped unhurt following an accident on Saturday, with the driver of the other vehicle seemingly more interested in a selfie with the French manager than the damages to his car.
Zidane was involved in a minor accident over the weekend when he drove his Audi motor vehicle into the back of another car at a roundabout while en route to a Los Blancos training session.
That is according to Spanish publication Marca, who reported that the French manager failed to stop in time after the driver in front of him had braked to give way to another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle, local furniture store manager Ignacio Fernandez, agreed to trade insurance papers with Zidane at a later stage and revealed that the Real boss was willing to give him a selfie after the incident so that people would believe him when he told them the story.
"As soon as I saw him, I recognised him and said, 'I would have liked to have met you in other circumstances, but this one is not bad either,'" Fernandez said.
"I told him that we could have a selfie because otherwise, people wouldn't believe me that I was hit by Zidane, and he very kindly said yes. He took off his hat and we took the photo."
The former France international's representatives then contacted Fernandez later in the day and seemingly thanked him for his willingness to allow Zidane to continue to training.
"The representative said that he was very grateful (because) Zidane was (heading to) training and was in a hurry, so he thanked me for not entertaining him by asking for signatures, shirts or tickets," he added.
