Mourinho was dealt a major blow earlier in the month when captain and star striker Kane was sidelined with a hamstring injury, the severity of which could see him ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The Portuguese tactician has since been linked with a number of attacking replacements, including AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek, but is now said to have turned his attention to Los Blancos' Luka Jovic.

That is according to Defensa Central, who claimed that Spurs have made an enquiry over the Serbia international's availability, despite the player having only joined Real at the beginning of the season from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
Jovic has struggled for form since his €60 million (R963 million) move to Madrid, scoring just once in 18 appearances, but Mourinho is said to be willing to back the player who netted 27 goals across all competitions last season.

Piatek and Jovic aside, Spurs have also been linked with a move for Leicester City and Algeria striker Islam Slimani, who is currently on loan at Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
