With Real Madrid preparing for life without Toni Kroos one day, they reportedly want to replace the German technician with Bayern Munich's captain.

According to German journalist Phillip Kessler, Los Blancos are plotting to lure Bayern superstar Joshua Kimmich away from the Allianz Arena in 2024.
The LaLiga giants are on the cusp of adding Jude Bellingham to what is already a youthful midfield of Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde, and now reportedly want to add experience to the talent in the middle of the park.
Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are expected to play their final campaigns at the Santiago Bernabeu next season, and the Real chiefs apparently see Kimmich as the perfect fit to replace the outgoing club legends.
The 28-year-old fullback-cum-midfielder has two years remaining on his current deal with the Bavarians, and should he fail to agree new terms by the time the end of the 2023/24 campaign comes around, that off-season will present the last time the record Bundesliga champions will be able to recoup a fee for their star player.
The same report suggests that the Germany international would also be open to moving abroad at some stage, but only to a team in the higher echelons of European football and that regularly contends for the UEFA Champions League title.

Kimmich has been a mainstay for Die Roten ever since arriving from Stuttgart in 2015, but perhaps he, like Kroos back in 2014, feels his time in Munich is coming to an end and will consider calling Madrid his new home.
