According to The Athletic, Marco Asensio will become PSG's newest player once the 2022/23 season comes to an end.
The Spain international is in the final weeks of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, and having failed to agree an extension with Los Blancos, the 27-year-old is rumoured to have already agreed a long-term contract with the record Ligue 1 champions.
The winger is expected to sign a contract worth €10 million (R211 million) a season, in a deal that will run until 2027, as per Sky Sports.
It is believed the Spaniard is yet to officially put to paper on a contract with the Les Parisiens, but the deal is expected to be finalised after Los Merengues' final LaLiga game of the season against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
Unai Emery's Aston Villa were previously said to be in serious contention to land the forward's signature with a lucrative offer of their own, but it seems it is the Ligue 1 champions who have come out triumphant in the race for Asensio.
The same report claims that the Mallorca native was open to extending his stay in the Spanish capital, but was not happy with the contract offer from the Madrid juggernauts.
Couple that with the fact that he lacked prominence in the Real attack this season, and the three-time LaLiga winner now looks destined to bid farewell to the record European champions.
