Almost as soon as Thibaut Courtois' season-ending knee injury was confirmed in the past off-season, Los Blancos were on the hunt for a replacement for the Belgian.
The likes of Morocco international Yassine Bounou and Valencia's Giorgi Mamardashvili were touted as possible targets, but ultimately the record European champions decided to bring in Spain international Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea.
Upon the Spaniard's arrival, he immediately displaced the person who had succeeded Courtois in the interim, Andriy Lunin.
According to Relevo, this has upset the Ukrainian as he continues to sit on the bench in his Real career.
The 24-year-old made the move to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2018, but has only played 19 matches for Real to date.
With Courtois expected to return at the end of the season, and Arrizabalaga having stated publicly that he wishes to continue with Real, if that indeed comes to fruition, then the same report claims that Lunin will look to leave.
The young goalkeeper played the opening two LALIGA matches of the season, but despite the team winning those encounters against Athletic Bilbao and Almeria, the chiefs at Valdebebas are still wary of his potential to compete for a starting position.

Lunin has received offers in the past to leave Los Merengues, but the same report suggests that, off the pitch, he is happy living in the Spanish capital. He may have to consider his future soon, though, given his current playing situation and the fact that his contract expires at the end of the season, with no plans of a renewal likely.
