Raheem Sterling Linked With Real Madrid As Adidas Pave The Way?

With Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling said to be set to sign a massive sponsorship deal with adidas, reports state that this could potentially pave the way for a move to LaLiga champions Real Madrid.

The England international is poised to agree a deal with the German sportswear manufacturer worth £10 million (R210 million), plus added bonuses, once his Nike contract comes to an end on 26 July.

According to The Times, the three-striped brand is keen to see the former Liverpool star make a move to Los Blancos, who are also sponsored by the kit supplier, and Sterling is very much aware of the role adidas could play in facilitating the transfer.

Fellow countryman and former Real star David Beckham earned his move to the Santiago Bernabeu, for an estimated fee of £24.5million (R514.5million), with the help of adidas in 2003.

Although Sterling seems settled in Manchester, he has previously reiterated his respect and admiration for the Spanish giants and what the club symbolises globally.
