Teams: Osasuna 1-4 Real Madrid
Date: 09 February 2020
Venue: Estadio El Sadar
Real Madrid registered a come-from-behind 4-1 victory over Osasuna to move six points clear of FC Barcelona on Sunday evening.
Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane came with a host of changes from their Copa Del Rey exit, as Thibaut Courtois returned in goal, with Dani Carvajal, Luka Modric, Carlos Casemiro and Gareth Bale also returning.
Osasuna's approach was put into jeopardy 10 minutes in as Jon Moncayola went off injured for Fran Merida who replaced the midfielder.
The home side still managed to hit the front four minutes later after Unai Garcia headed home a corner from the right-hand side.
However, Real levelled matters following the half-hour mark when Isco volleyed into the bottom right-hand corner with Sergio Herrera unable to smother.
Sergio Ramos put the visitors ahead in the 38th minute after capitalising on Casmeiro's cut back to head into an empty net from the far post.
Los Rojilos looked to go level 12 minutes after the break, but Jose Arniaz's effort deflected wide of the post after Real were caught wanting in defence.
After a bit of a lull in the second half, Real turned their attention to the bench and introduced Lucas Vazquez on 71 minutes, with Bale making way for the Spaniard.
Los Blancos upped the tempo and with that increased their lead in the final seven minutes after Vazquez ran in from the right to find the bottom corner despite the efforts of Herrera.
With the hosts throwing numbers in attack, Luka Jovic gave Real a fourth in stoppage time as he volleyed into the top corner.
Inico Perez looked to give Los Rojilos a consolation, but his looping strike from outside the area hit the woodwork as Real extend their lead at the top.
