Reports in Spain suggest that Real president Florentino Perez has a plan to sign the striker in 2021, when Mbappe will have just a year left on his deal, sentiments that have since been echoed by football writer and journalist Oriol Domenech.
"From what they tell me from different clubs that have contacted him, Madrid has it closed," he told Catalunya Radio.
"When Mbappe departs, in 2020 or 2021, he will go to Madrid."
