After Gareth Bale was linked with a sensational return to Tottenham Hotspur, the Real Madrid superstar's agent has now revealed what his client's future plans are.
Bale's future was once again a hot topic during the recent transfer window, prompting the Wales international's agent, Jonathan Barnett, to discuss his client's future at Madrid and dispel rumours of a potential return to London.
Speaking to talkSPORT, and as reported by Spanish publication AS, Barnett explained that Bale's immediate future is at Madrid, and that few clubs could afford to secure his services.
"People write articles, make comments, and they have no idea what they're talking about, and they themselves probably wouldn't do it (leave Real Madrid).
"It's not up to me, but Gareth believes there's a still a future at Real Madrid. His family are very happy and settled and he has a lovely lifestyle, so he can pick and choose where he wants to play."
Barnett also went into more detail about a potential return to his former club for the Wales star, revealing that the move was never an option.
"There was no chance to go back to Spurs," the agent added.
"For most clubs, he's out of their league, financially. It's easy for people to say 'give up the money and play somewhere else' but he's happy in Madrid and his kids have grown up there, his family are settled.
"I've been told he's still a big part of Real Madrid. The only people who know what's going on are Zinedine Zidane, Gareth and probably the president of Madrid, and they're all very happy with the situation."
