Karim Benzema has led Los Blancos' line admirably this season, chipping in with 14 league goals, while Vinicius Jr has shown bags of promise, but neither player has been able to match the output produced by Ronaldo during the Portugal superstar's nine-season stay in Madrid.
While few, if any players, would be able to reach those levels, Zinedine Zidane will be looking add new options at the end of the season in a bid to get his charges firing on all cylinders once again.
One man who could help achieve that aim is Ronaldo himself, who was recently linked with a return to Real after being seen at the Santiago Bernabeu during the club's recent 2-0 El Clasico win over rivals FC Barcelona.

Given that Ronaldo is 35 years old and has two years left on his contract with Juventus, however, a deal appears unlikely, and Real might be better off looking to one of the African trio of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane, who have been thriving in the Premier League.
The club could also instead turn to Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Kylian Mbappe – Zidane is an open admirer of the youngster – although the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner could command a transfer fee in excess of €200 million (R3.6 billion).
Another alternative is Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland, who was recently backed by former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov to be the heir to Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's goalscoring thrones.
