The 27-year-old has publicly expressed his desire to return to FC Barcelona, but his dream fell through after the two clubs failed to reach an agreement over a potential deal.
The latest reports, however, suggest that this might not be the case after all, and that Neymar is now expecting to join the Catalan giants at the end of the season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, who cited Le Parisien, the Brazil international has been advised that the two clubs' failure to reach an agreement is a mere delay, and that a deal will be concluded for him to join Barca ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

The reports cited a source from a member of "Neymar's clan", who believes that, if a deal was not to be concluded by the close of the current transfer window, he will join Barcelona in a year's time.
"If his transfer does not close this summer, it will be done in a year," the source said.
"Meanwhile, Neymar will do his best for the PSG."
