Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe has set European football alight with his incredible performances this season, and the numbers show that he has been more impressive than Lionel Messi was at his age!
Ronaldo's Worst La Liga Goals Tally Since 2010
The 18-year-old has been excellent this season for Monaco, with his solid performances gaining him many fans around the world.
Mbappe has contributed to 37 goals in 41 matches so far in this campaign, with 25 of those being goals of his own and 12 being assists for his teammates.
The forward, whose parents are both of African descent, has already been compared to the likes of Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo by European media, and according to Transfermarkt, the forward has been more effective than Messi at his age.
When the Argentine was 18 years old, he had scored 27 goals and assisted 13 strikes in 71 games, while, at the same age, Mbappe has found the back of the net 26 times and set up a further 14 strikes in just 55 matches.
These numbers prove that Mbappe has contributed almost the same amount of goals at his age as Messi did, but in 16 fewer games, which means Mbappe is averaging 0.25 goals per game while Messi scored 0.18 goals per game at his age.
Clubs such as Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barca are said to be after the young France international's signature, although it remains to be seen if he will leave Monaco at the end of the campaign.
