Despite clinching three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles with Real Madrid, a former Premier League star believes Cristiano Ronaldo is a better player in his first season with Juventus than he was in his final few campaigns with Los Blancos.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner brought an end to his nine-year stay with Real last year, joining the Bianconeri in a deal said to be worth €100 million (R1.6 billion) in July 2018.
Despite registering his worst goal return in a decade after finding the back of the net on 21 occasions in 30 Serie A games so far, former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson has explained why he believes the former Manchester United winger is a better player in his first season with Juventus compared to his last few years in Madrid.
"I think he's looked a better player at Juventus than he did for the last two or three years at Real Madrid," he told the Express.
"The reason I say that is because at Real Madrid, for two or three seasons, he became just a goalscorer, a great box player.
"Every time the ball went into the wide areas, he made his run into the box to try and win the ball into the air which he did. That's why he scored so many goals.
"You very rarely saw him run with the ball, you very rarely saw him pick out a pass and you very rarely saw him go past someone and put in a cross.
"This season, at Juventus, I think he's looked a yard sharper, a yard quicker. He's gone past people with the ball and made some fantastic runs at times.
"In terms of his performance, I think he's been a better Ronaldo in the last 12 months than he was in the last three years in Madrid."
