The attacker's spell at his new club, Al Hilal, is yet to really take off, with the winger currently sidelined due to a knee injury.
The Mogi das Cruzes native looked to be finding his form after recovering from an earlier muscle injury, but he ruptured his cruciate ligament shortly after.
In the midst of an underwhelming start to life in the Saudi Pro League, Neymar seems to already be plotting a homecoming to a former club of his.
Not Paris Saint-Germain nor Barcelona, but his boyhood side Santos instead.
The Alvinegro were recently relegated from the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A for the first time in their 111-year history, and in light of the demotion, club president Marcelo Teixeira has revealed that Neymar contacted him to reserve the No. 11 jersey for him.
"Yesterday [Sunday], I received a call from him, and he told me, 'President, since you have removed the 10 until Santos returns to the first division, then remove the 11 until I return,'" Teixeira told TV Santa Cecilia.
It seems Teixeira is willing to listen to the Selecao's all-time top goalscorer, with the death of fellow icon Pele seeing the club temporarily retire his memorable No. 10 shirt.

"We are going to momentarily retire the 10 and 11. No one can wear the number 10 anymore, which will only be worn by a new star when we go up to the first division. And the 11 will also wait until our star player returns," Teixeira added.
