FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi reportedly met with a Real Madrid player after El Clasico on Saturday and told him to leave Los Blancos.

James Rodriguez was left on the bench against the Catalan club at the weekend – the fifth time he was an unused substitute in La Liga this season.
According to Sportskeeda, Messi had a chat with the 25-year-old after the 1-1 draw, and advised him that perhaps quitting Real would be best for his career.
Rodriguez's career has stalled over the past season and a half, with the attacking midfielder not showing much progress since his stellar performances at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The player was tipped to become one of football's leading stars, but since Carlo Ancelotti left Los Blancos in 2015, Rodriguez has struggled for regular game time, first under the Italian's successor Rafa Benitez and now under current boss Zinedine Zidane.

Messi is believed to have offered his support to the out-of-favour Colombian, who could consider his options with the January transfer window approaching.
