Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly be served with a summons to face rape accusations after his home address in Italy was finally tracked down by his accuser's lawyers.
Ronaldo's Agency Slam Outrageous Rape Allegations
Last year, Germany publication Der Spiegel claimed the Portuguese forward paid former American model Kathryn Mayorga to cover up an allegation of rape from 10 years ago.
Ronaldo's representatives vehemently denied the accusations, with the report even claiming the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid attacker admitted to his crime back when it was first brought to light.
Things have gone quiet over the past few months, but according to the Daily Mirror, the superstar will now finally be slapped with a summons to face the allegations.
It has been claimed that Ms Mayorga's lawyers have spent weeks on end attempting to track down Ronaldo's family address in Italy, at least since October 2018, when US police reopened the investigation.
It is believed Ronaldo will be sent the court summons in the next few weeks, once the document is translated.
Reports: Ronaldo's Rape Investigation Could Last Two Years
The Portugal captain is understood to have met Ms Mayorga at a nightclub in Las Vegas in 2009, when he was still a United player, before they went to a hotel room together. It was there where Ronaldo reportedly forced himself on the former model.
