The captain's armband that Cristiano Ronaldo threw on the ground as Portugal dropped points has been sold for over £50K in an auction.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was left angered after he had a goal wrongly disallowed as there was no Video Assistant Referee (VAR) present as Portugal drew 2-2 with Serbia seven days ago.
Ronaldo reacted angrily and threw his skipper's armband to the ground before departing down the tunnel at the end of the encounter.
It is being reported that the armband ended raising around £54,000 in the auction.
The armband was picked up by a on-duty fire fighter who donated it Together for Life and Gavrilo Djurdjevic, who is a sixth-month old baby suffering from spinal muscular atrophy, with the funds going towards their treatment, according to the Mirror.
"The entire crew agreed this [armband] will go for little Gavrilo."
Meanwhile, ESPN have reported that there was some controversy with the three-day as some bidders aimed to disrupts the process by making unrealistic offers.,
