Real Madrid attacker, Cristiano Ronaldo, is reportedly refusing to attend the European Golden Boot award ceremony, where he will share the award with Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez.
Both Ronaldo and Suarez finished their seasons in Spain and England tied on 31 goals in 2013/14 and will be sharing the European Golden Boot trophy.
Ronaldo, however, likely due to the Real Madrid-Barcelona rivalry, is not keen on the idea of attending a shared ceremony with the man who guided Liverpool to a second place finish in the Premier League season.
Suarez will receive his award on Wednesday next week, while Ronaldo will be presented with it, for the third time, later in November.
According El Mundo Deportivo, the Portuguese player's representatives expressed his reluctance to celebrate the goalscoring exploits of both players, but it may simply be a bid to create mischief in the Barcelona-based publication.
Ronaldo and Suarez will square-off against one another in the first El Clasico of the season on October 25, the day after Luis Suarez's four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini expires.
