A while before signing for FC Barcelona, a certain player bashed superstar Lionel Messi with offensive social media posts, including one in which he wished death upon the Argentine. He has now discussed where he currently stands with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Ronaldo Makes Huge Messi Confession
Seven years ago, when new Blaugrana left-back Junior Firpo was just 16 years old, he took it upon himself to speak provocatively and perhaps inappropriately about Messi.
He was believed to say things like "I hope he dies and stops scoring goals" on Twitter, and boasted that he could break the Argentine's legs with a single kick.
Barca, at one point, were reportedly close to withdrawing their interest in the 23-year-old once these old tweets resurfaced, although he has since become one of the club's latest acquisitions after his move from Real Betis just a few weeks ago.

Asked in a recent interview about his relationship with Messi since, he was quick to insist there is no bad blood between them.
"I see him every day in the changing room," Firpo told Sport.
"I know you're asking this because of the old tweets I made, but that's in the past and we've squashed that. It isn't something I want to make a bigger deal out of.
"I don't think he even knew. I was a kid who came through the academy at Betis and I don't think Messi is going to care about that."

Firpo is yet to make his debut for the Catalan giants, but has already got the experience of 38 LaLiga games under his belt.
