FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, who has the most assists in LaLiga history, has explained why he has become less 'selfish' in recent years.

The Argentine broke the record for most assists (148) in the Spanish top flight last month to go along with his all-time record scorer record.
Messi has already provided 16 assists in all competitions this season as the Catalan giants continue to battle on all three fonts.
"Before, I tried to steal the ball and make my play," Messi told La Cornisa, according AS.
"Now, I try to make the team play more, pass the ball more and not be so defining or selfish.
"I try to move the team from another position. I run the same as I always did, but in a different way."

The LaLiga leaders host Athletic Bilbao at the Camp Nou on Sunday evening.
