Kylian Mbappe's ambitions of playing in the 2024 Paris Olympics have reportedly been dealt a massive blow.

According to L'Equipe, it appears that the Bondy native will not represent his nation at the summer games.
The 25-year-old did state in the past that he wished to represent Thierry Henry's team at the sporting spectacle held in his hometown, but with the attacker expected to switch to Real Madrid at the end of the season, playing for the U23 side seems unlikely.
Being the captain of the French senior team, his inclusion in Didier Deschamps' side which will be competing at the 2024 UEFA European Championships will be a formality and should Les Bleus make it to the final on 14 July, he will have only ten days until the football tournament at the Olympics begins on 24 July.
This is not an ideal situation for the forward's new team as it could prevent the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner from being integrated into his surroundings and also have a period of rest.
With LALIGA traditionally commencing at the beginning of August, Mbappe will have had no team to go through the rigors of pre-season should he decide to sign for Los Blancos.
