Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez has stated that his teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo, is not arrogant and praised his work ethic.
Real Madrid Respond To FIFA Investigations
The Colombian sealed his move to Real Madrid from Monaco over the summer and has been thoroughly impressed by the three-time Ballon d'Or winner's professionalism.
"Cristiano is excellent, both on and off the pitch. For me, he deserved his Ballon d'Or victory for what he achieved in 2014, yet he is totally modest," Rodriguez told FIFA.com.
"Out on the pitch, everyone knows how valuable he is, but it's impressive to watch how he trains and works off the pitch. That's where you see the real Cristiano, and you understand why he is where he is.
"We have a very good relationship."
The World Cup Golden Boot winner then said he may see out his playing days in Colombia when he gets closer to hanging up his boots.
"It would be nice to wind down my career in Colombia, although obviously I have a long way to go before then."
James Rodriguez has made 23 appearances for Real Madrid this season, scoring 10 goals and making eight assists in the process.
