Bayern Munich legend Franz Beckenbauer has claimed that Bayern Munich will be able to overcome Barcelona's challenge in the Champions League if they can keep Lionel Messi at bay.

Messi, who has been in incredible form in 2015, determines Barcelona's success as a team, according to the 1974 World Cup winner.
"Messi is a divine player. The whole team stands and falls with Messi. If Bayern manage to take Messi out of the game then they have a chance," he told Sky.
The man known affectionately as "Der Kaiser" then added that Bayern need a fully fit squad to overcome the challenge posed by Luis Enrique's men in the Champions League.
"If you really want to have a chance against Barcelona, ??then you need to have a complete team. You need Franck Ribery, David Alaba and Arjen Robben," he added.
Lionel Messi has scored 47 goals and recorded 20 assists in 43 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this season.
