Ronaldo has been tipped to win both the FIFA Men's Best Player award and France Football's Ballon d'Or prize, given the trophies he has won and the important goals he has scored in 2017.
Totti, who retired from football at the end of last season, believes the Portuguese should be the favourite for the FIFA prize, although he added that all three of them are world-class players.
"First of all, we are talking about three footballing aliens," he explained to FIFA.com.
"I must say that we always respected each other on and off the field.
"But I think that, in the end, Ronaldo is ahead of the others.
"He had an amazing season and also accomplished all of his goals with the most prestigious of teams."
