It has been reported by many publications that Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus will revitalise Serie A, but according to former UEFA President Michel Platini, he should have retired from the game.
Reports: Why Furious Ronaldo Didn't Attend UEFA Gala
The Portugal international, who is now 33-years-old, stunned the world when he decided to leave Los Blancos after nine successful seasons.
Plantini, who scored 209 goals in 358 games for the Old Lady in career, believes Ronaldo made an odd move and does not see who it benefits his career.
"I can't understand the move," the former France international told L'Equipe.
"I think it's odd that at 33 years of age he's left 'his' Real Madrid, with whom he has won three Champions Leagues in a row, to try a new adventure.
"I do not know if Juventus has contacted him or if it was Mendes who offered him, I cannot understand this operation.
"When I was 32 lots of teams wanted me, but I retired because I was tired."
