The Portuguese star was the highest-paid footballer in 2015, according to Forbes, earning an annual salary of R668 000 000 (€48 million, before tax and excluding endorsement deals).
Boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao were the only two sportsmen who received a higher salary than the Real Madrid superstar.
