Ronaldo 'Asks' Ex-Teammate To Join Him At Al Nassr

In-form Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly asked one of his former teammates to join him in the Middle East.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 38-year-old has been in contact with an ex-Juventus colleague to convince him to sign for the Saudi Pro League giants.

During his spell in Turin between 2018 and 2021, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was believed to become good friends with the Bianconeri's third-choice goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio, 32, who has made just five appearances for the Italian club despite joining them in 2010.

Pinsoglio, who is said to be a popular figure in the Old Lady dressing room, has now seemingly been urged by Ronaldo to try his hand in the Middle East.

With the shot-stopper's contract expiring at the end of the season, he could be a replacement for Al Nassr's David Ospina, who recently fractured his elbow.

Ronaldo has been in scintillating form for the Saudi club since his arrival in January, having scored an impressive eight times in just six appearances as captain of Rudi Garcia's side.

The Portuguese has scored two hat-tricks in his past three games for Al Nassr, and is now tied in fifth place in the list of the top goalscorers in the SPL, with his teammate Talisca currently first with 13 goals.
