Cristiano Ronaldo & Alvaro Arbeloa Hit Back At Pique's Tweet

Cristiano Ronaldo & Alvaro Arbeloa Hit Back At Pique's Tweet

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Arbeloa have hit back at FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique after he mocked Los Blancos' Copa del Rey exit.

Alves Reveals His Ballon D'Or Favourite

The Catalan trolled Real on Twitter after they were embarrassingly kicked out of this season's Copa del Rey after fielding Denis Cheryshev, who was ineligible to play, in the match against Cadiz.

However, Los Blancos defender Arbeloa hit back at Pique after his team's 8-0 victory over Malmo in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

"Pique seems obsessed with us," he said in a post-match press conference.

"I'll see him in a comedy club talking about Madrid. The last 10 years for Barca don't equal Madrid's history."

Ronaldo, who set a new goalscoring record on the night, also had a dig at the Blaugrana player, describing the tweet as "a waste of time".

"It's not worth talking about, I don't want to give free publicity," Ronaldo added.

"I don't speak about these things because it's a waste of time."
