With African-born wonderkid Ansu Fati taking the world by storm since breaking through at FC Barcelona, here is how his start to life with the Catalan giants compares to Lionel Messi's.
Messi Sends Suarez A Message, Attacks Barca Board Again
The 17-year-old has enjoyed an incredible start to life as a first-team player with the Spanish giants, for whom he has already made 34 senior appearances.
In that amount of time, Fati has scored 10 goals and assisted a further two strikes, but how does that compare to Messi, who is today considered the greatest player in Barcelona's history? After 34 senior matches for the club, the Argentine had struck nine times across all competitions, and already had five assists to his name.
By comparison, Messi needed four more matches to reach 10 first-team goals for the Blaugrana, with his 10th strike coming in the team's first match of the 2006/07 LaLiga campaign, a 3-2 away win over Celta Vigo.

Having played 1 445 minutes of senior action so far, Fati averages a goal every 144.5 minutes for Barcelona, while Messi was averaging a goal every 157.1 minutes after 34 games.
While there is still plenty of work for the Spain international to do in order to become a better, more consistent player, the teenager is on the right path, and perhaps at the right club.
Despite making his senior debut only last year, Fati has already played under three different managers at Barcelona, with Ernesto Valverde, Quique Setien and now Ronald Koeman all having given the youngster instructions from the sidelines.
Suarez Responds To Messi's Crazy Farewell Message
The Guinea-Bissau-born winger scored an impressive brace in Barca's 4-0 win over Villarreal to kick-start the club's 2020/21 season, and is expected to be in action again on Thursday, when the Blaugrana face Celta Vigo away from home for a LaLiga tie.
