Earlier this week, it was reported that the Saudi Arabian giants are in significant trouble with the football's governing body due to unpaid fees.

Al Nassr are believed to owe Leicester City €460 000 (R9.2 million) in add-ons involved in the deal to sign Nigerian international Ahmed Musa in 2018 following the forward's impressive performances at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

A spokesperson for FIFA has since revealed that the transfer ban will only be lifted once the Saudi Pro league outfit settles their debts.

"Al-Nassr is currently prevented from registering new players, this due to outstanding debts," it read, according to Fabrizio Romano.

"Relevant bans will be lifted immediately upon the settlement of the debts being confirmed by the creditors concerned."

As things stand, Al Nassr will be unable to register new arrival Marcelo Brozovic, who recently arrived at the club from Inter Milan.
