With the 2022/23 season underway, here are the 10 leading goalscorers in Europe's top five leagues this year so far. While Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are far from the top, Sadio Mane is some way ahead of Mohamed Salah.

The new season began in England, Germany and France this past weekend, with Serie A and LaLiga to follow suit in the coming days.
In Germany, Senegal winger Mane got off to a dream start with Bayern Munich, scoring twice in as many games. The 30-year-old opened his account for the Bavarians in their DFL-Supercup victory over RB Leipzig, and then scored on his Bundesliga debut against Eintracht Frankfurt.
This means Mane has now found the net on an impressive 16 occasions at club level in 2022, with 14 of those strikes coming in the colours of Liverpool prior to his switch to Bayern earlier in this transfer window.
The former Red leads his ex-colleague Salah, who, like Ronaldo and Messi, is not currently among the 10 most prolific club goalscorers since the turn of the year. Mane's tally sees him rank eighth on the list, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, who have scored 16 and 15 goals, respectively, this year so far.
Also in the standing is Lazio forward Ciro Immobile and Olympique Lyon target man Moussa Dembele, while Monaco captain Wissam Ben Yedder is just one goal behind new Barcelona signing Robert Lewandowski.
The Poland international scored all 20 of his club goals so far for Bayern, and will be hoping to continue his lethal form in Spain following his move to the LaLiga giants. Should the Catalan club be able to register him before this weekend, Lewandowski is likely to start against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday night.

Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku, meanwhile, is third on the scorers list, behind Real Madrid's Karim Benzema and Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe, who have each struck 24 times in 2022 so far.
