After initially wanting to join Real Madrid, a French star has reportedly chosen to join Manchester United over the Spanish and European champions.

It had seemed as if Los Blancos were poised to land another young and highly-rated French talent this off-season.
In recent campaigns, the LALIGA giants broke the bank for the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Kylian Mbappe, and it seemed as though Leny Yoro would be the latest Frenchman to make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, that reality seems unlikely now, with The Athletic reporting that the teenage sensation is on the verge of signing for the Red Devils instead.
Initially, Yoro had given preference to Los Merengues, but with United tabling a €62 million (R1.2 billion) offer, including add-ons, and Real failing to match it in the subsequent days, the record Premier League champions have now gained the upper hand in the race for his signature.
Not keen on losing a player who is being dubbed as a generational talent for free when his contract expires next season, Lille accepted United's offer, and the central defender has since seemingly warmed up to the idea of playing at Old Trafford.
The same report states that the Saint-Maurice native had his medical at the club on Wednesday.

Sky Sports Germany has stated that Yoro will earn an annual salary of €9 million (R178 million), with bonuses included, and that he is set to put pen to paper on a five-year deal.
