There appears to be a new update in Mason Greenwood's future at Manchester United ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The 21-year-old has not played football since January last year, when he was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behaviour.
Greenwood has since had his charges dropped, although that has not meant that the talented young player's pathway back into the United fold has become clear.
The results of an internal investigation by club officials will eventually decide the outcome of his future at the Red Devils, with it currently thought that the English giants are set to make a call at the end of this season.
Greenwood is thus expected to miss the rest of the 2022/23 campaign as chiefs speak to various people within the club before announcing what the next steps will be.
Reports in recent months claimed that the one-time England international was determined to return to action for United, but The Sun believes the left-footed attacker is beginning to feel he is "finished" at his boyhood club.
While frustrated, Greenwood understands his situation is of his own doing and appears to think his future will not include him turning out for the 20-time English champions again.

The player has been linked with moves to Turkey and Italy, although it remains unclear as to where he would be interested in playing should Erik ten Hag and his staff sanction his sale.
