Transfer Update: Fernandes, Casemiro, Felix

With clubs having already spent millions on new signings in this window, here is the latest on the futures of Manchester United duo Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, as well as Joao Felix.

It has been a busy transfer window for the Red Devils, who have already secured the signings of 23-year-old Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee and 18-year-old centre-back Leny Yoro.

In terms of outgoings, United have confirmed the sales of four players, including Willy Kambwala and Mason Greenwood, with more first-team stars likely to depart over the coming month.

Captain Bruno Fernandes has been linked with a surprise switch to Paris Saint-Germain, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the French giants are not currently pursuing a move for the Portugal international.

Romano reports that the Ligue 1 champions' full focus remains on signing Benfica prospect Joao Neves, although it seems a departure for Fernandes has not been completely ruled out either.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) to address the 29-year-old's future, Romano noted that "if" the midfielder does stay at Old Trafford beyond this window, he could sign a new contract.

Sky Sports, meanwhile, reports that Casemiro could end up remaining at the club heading into the new season, with interest in his signature from Saudi Arabia "cooling" in recent weeks.

The Brazilian appeared certain to be shipped out as part of INEOS' early overhaul, but it seems United could find themselves in a position of having no option outside of retaining his services.

When it comes to Felix's future, rumours suggest that the Atletico Madrid man is now a key target for Aston Villa manager Unai Emery.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Barcelona in LALIGA and had plans of joining the Spanish club permanently, but their financial situation means such a deal is complicated.
