Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira was left out of the Red Devils' squad to face the Hornets at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon following a tough couple of months for the player.
The 24-year-old has scored just one goal in 35 appearances for United so far this season, with many supporters believing he is not good enough to play for the club.
Prior to the match, Solskjaer did not give too much away when discussing Pereira's absence, saying he picked the team that he felt was right.

"We picked a squad of 18 that we felt was the right 18 here," he said, according to the Daily Star.
"We have got cover on the bench with wide men, forwards, midfielders, and defenders, so that was the decision (leaving Pereira out) I made."
