Manchester United star Nemanja Matic has fired a cheeky dig at his teammate Bruno Fernandes, who joined the club in the January transfer window.
Fernandes has been a breath of fresh air for the Red Devils after registering three goals and four assists in his nine appearances so far. He was also named Player of the Month for February and March.
Matic says he knew about the Portugese's quality, even though he played for Sporting Lisbon, who are the bitter rivals of Matic's old club Benfica.
"Because I follow the Portuguese league, I knew he was good – even though he played for Sporting," Matic told Football Beyond Borders, as per the Mirror.
"But I'm very surprised he adapted so quickly to the Premier League.
"He brings us a lot of qualities, like the confidence he has on the pitch, he always knows what he wants to do with the ball."
