It seems Cristiano Ronaldo could be edging ever closer to a Manchester United exit, with reports claiming that a European club is now prepared to go all out for the forward in January.
'We Quickly Dismissed The Idea Of Signing Ronaldo'
Having reportedly pushed for a move away from Old Trafford throughout the off-season, Ronaldo could receive his wish in the coming months as Turkish giants Galatasaray are believed to be eager to make a big push for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's signature.
The 37-year-old has been on the periphery of Erik ten Hag's team for most of the 2022/23 campaign, starting only one Premier League match in this campaign, something United's top goalscorer from last season is not happy about.
There are thus rumours suggesting that Ronaldo will once again push for an exit from the Red Devils in the January transfer window, and should that happen, Galatasaray will be aggressively pursuing the Portugal captain, according to Fotomac.
The Turkish giants are believed to be set to go all out in an ambitious attempt to sign the iconic striker as they look to add to their record haul of league titles.
Galatasaray have already added some big names to their ranks this season, with the likes of Lucas Torreira, Juan Mata and Mauro Icardi all making their way to the Nef Stadium in recent months, and will be hoping to add Ronaldo to that list come the beginning of 2023.
While the ex-Real Madrid talisman is understood to be eager to return to UEFA Champions League football, if he is to join the record Turkish champions, the attacker will have to wait until the 2023/24 season to potentially do so after Galatasaray failed to qualify for any European competition this season.
Messi Makes Big World Cup Announcement
It could be that his desire to leave Manchester outweighs that of playing UCL football, and with the same report suggesting that vice-president Erden Timur is in talks with Ronaldo's representatives, a move to Istanbul could be on the cards.
