Man Utd 'Offer' Swap Deal for R16bn Star

Man Utd 'Offer' Swap Deal for R16bn Star

Manchester United have reportedly offered Facundo Pellistri (middle) in a swap deal.

Manchester United have reportedly offered one of their players in a swap deal for a highly rated £69 million (R1.6 billion) star.

The Red Devils have been quietly going on about their transfer business, as the club has already confirmed two departures, with a third increasingly imminent.

Netherlands midfielder Donny van de Beek was the first to leave after he was sent out on loan for the remainder of the season at Eintracht Frankfurt.

This was soon followed by the departure of Sergio Reguilon, whose loan move was cut short by mutual consent, resulting in the Spaniard returning to parent club Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports also suggest that outcast Jadon Sancho's exit is impending after the winger agreed a short-term return to his former club Borussia Dortmund until the end of teh current campaign.

It widely believed that there could be more incomings and outgoings, particularly the latter, as the likes of Hannibal Mejbri have also been tipped for a move away from Old Trafford this January.

According to The Sun, United have now proposed a swap deal offer to Sporting CP for their midfielder Morten Hjulmand.

The report claims that they want winger Facundo Pellistri to go the other way but the Portuguese side are said to have told the Red Devils to trigger the 24-year-old's £69 million (R1.6 billion) release clause instead.

Pellistri is out of favour at the Theatre of Dreams and the club are said to be more in need of a defensive midifielder, thus the huge interest in Hjulmand. It is indicated that Sporting do not feel that Pellistri has the same value as their Danish playmaker.

Hjulmand is said to be extremely familiar with Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund from the Denmark national team and the former is believed to be a huge admirer of his.

The player only joined the Portuguese outfit from Lecce in August 2023 but has massively impressed already, with a number of clubs reportedly monitoring his performances.
