How Manchester United Could Line Up Under Massimiliano Allegri

How Manchester United Could Line Up Under Massimiliano Allegri

Reports in Italy suggest that Allegri is already negotiating his salary with United, where he could replace manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian has come under fire after United's worst start to a Premier League season in 30 years saw them drop to 12th place, and just two points above the relegation zone.

Allegri himself hinted at a potential Premier League move by claiming he does not speak English "enough yet" but is "learning" the language.

The Sun has since had a look at how United could line up if the Italian does indeed take over from Solskjaer.

The English publication believes the five-time Serie A champion could lure his former players Mario Mandzukic, Emre Can and Paulo Dybala with him to Old Trafford.

Many would expect all three to jump straight into the starting XI at United, with Can lining up alongside Paul Pogba in central midfield, Dybala featuring as a No. 10 and Mandzukic taking over the striker spot.

At the back, Allegri would focus on United's best options: David de Gea in goal, shielded by Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw if all are fit.

Marcus Rashford and Daniel James, meanwhile, would feature on the wings in Allegri's potential strongest XI, according to The Sun.
