PSG 'Make Decision' On Sacking Manager

Following yet another early exit from the UEFA Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly come to a decision regarding manager Christophe Galtier's future.

Tensions have been high at the Parc des Princes recently after the club endured its worst run of form in over a decade with successive losses to AS Monaco, Olympique de Marseille and Bayern Munich.

While Galtier managed to subdue mounting pressure with three straight league victories, their second-leg UCL round of 16 defeat to the Bavarians earlier this week seems to have undone the French tactician's recent good work.

With their loss at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night, Les Parisiens have now been eliminated from Europe's premier club competition at the last 16 stage in five of the past seven seasons.

According to Goal, however, despite Galtier losing influence in the PSG dressing room and their season continuing to unravel, the club is going to keep the 56-year-old in the hot seat at least until the end of the season.

The former OGC Nice and Lille boss has tried a number of different formations since arriving in the French capital in order to accommodate the superstar trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

This uncertainty in the team's tactics appears to be a cause for concern for the club's hierarchy, and while they have decided to keep the Marseille native on board for the rest of the 2022/23 campaign, he reportedly does not enjoy the full backing of Les Parisiens' executives.

While the temperature continues to raise on PSG's manager, sporting director Luis Campos has also come under scrutiny following what many within the club have deemed two very underwhelming transfer windows in 2022/23.

Although Galtier's sacking may be more straight-forward, Campos' situation is a bit more delicate as he was reportedly crucial in getting Mbappe to re-sign with the club last year and is also currently involved in negotiating an extension for Messi.
