As per Marca, the two-time Ballon d'Or winner-turned-club-owner has claimed that he will be selling his majority shares in Real Valladolid.

He stated this during a press conference in which he also spoke about selling Brazilian club Cruzeiro, with the 2002 FIFA World Cup winner confirming that "Real Valladolid are next".

According to Brazilian publication Exame, the former striker's Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A side is being sold for 600 million Brazilian Real (about R2 billion), and he wants to cash out on his Spanish club too.

The White and Violets are currently fighting for promotion to LALIGA for next season, but whether or not the club makes it to the top flight, it appears this will not have an effect on Ronaldo's decision to sell up.

It is further claimed that it has not been a harmonious relationship between the 47-year-old and the Valladolid faithful, with the club having been going up and down between the top two leagues in their country over the past few years.

Fans of La Pucela are understood to have criticised the Rio de Janeiro native, especially online, on a regular basis, and it seems that negativity, coupled with certain decisions made pertaining to the club has resulted a fractious relationship between the two parties.
