New Barcelona signing Robert Lewandowski reportedly had his watch stolen from him outside of the club's training ground on Wednesday, before he ran after the thief himself.
According to ESPN, the 33-year-old had his watch snatched from him as he greeted supporters before a training session at the Catalan club on Thursday.
It is believed the former Bayern Munich forward then chased the thief, who had opened his car door to steal the timepiece as he signed autographs for fans.
Police, however, were quick to make an arrest before Lewandowski got his watch back. The striker then later participated in a training session ahead of Barca's clash with Real Sociedad this weekend.
It is reported the watch has an estimated worth of €70 000 (R1.1 million).
The Poland international made his official debut for the Blaugrana last weekend, in a 0-0 draw with Rayo Vallecano, in which he played the full 90 minutes.
