All leagues across Europe have been suspended until April due to the coronavirus, but it seems there may be an financial implication for the Catalan giants.
According to ESPN, Barcelona will make a decision next week on reducing certain players' salaries temporarily to thwart the economic impact the virus is having.
ESPN reported that club president Josep Maria Bartomeu brought up the 'complicated' financial situation on a conference call on Friday with the rest of the board members, although it 'reversible'.

While the club is reportedly considering any temporary lay-offs during the suspension, the report claims certain could reduce their earnings as the season remains suspended.
Spanish outlet AS claim that the Catalan giants have closed their club store, while events and VIP experiences at the Camp Nou have been postponed.
With that in mind, Bartomeu could ask players to lower their wages due to the club's failure to meet the reported approved budget of €1,047 million or the €11million budgeted earnings
