Los Blancos have stumbled to ninth place in LaLiga after experiencing the ultimate embarrassment against their bitter rivals on Sunday – despite the Blaugrana's Lionel Messi missing the match due to injury.
The Spanish giants are now on a run of five winless games in the league, having lost four of them, which has led the board's decision to sack Lopetegui.

Lopetegui was in charge of Real for just 14 games, but saw his side lose six of them, while winning only six times during his short tenure.
This is the 52-year-old's second sacking in the space of four months – he was released from his role as Spain coach when he accepted the Real Madrid job two days ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
