Greenwood's Boss: He Can Play For Barca & Real If...

With reports linking Mason Greenwood with a possible move to ElClasico giants Barcelona and Real Madrid next season, his current manager has revealed what he needs to improve on to take that step.

The Englishman has taken to LALIGA like a duck to water following his loan move to Getafe in August.

The 22-year-old already has five goals and four assists for his new side as he continues to establish himself not only as one of the most prominent players for the Deep Blue Ones, but also in the entire Spanish top flight.

His performances on the outskirts of Madrid have led to him being linked with possible moves to Los Blancos, the Blaugrana and even Atletico Madrid, but his current manager, Jose Bordalas, believes the Manchester United academy graduate needs to improve in a few areas before he can take the step up to play for Spain's elite.

"Greenwood is a different player, with a lot of talent, but in this football, talent is not the main thing," the Spanish tactician told Marca when quizzed on if he envisages the England international one day playing for the aforementioned sides.

"It takes more work than talent. When he is at 100%, we will be able to check his real level, but he has the conditions to play in any major.

"We are happy and content because we have a great player, he is a good boy, he has fitted in really well and he just needs to learn a little more Spanish."

Asked how Getafe managed to pull off the signing of the versatile attacker, Bordalas added: "A friend called me to tell me about this possibility and at first we thought it wasn't real, but he confirmed that it was.

"There were conversations, I had other possibilities to play like in Serie A, but there were many clubs that did not dare because of what had happened and so on. In the end, with a lot of effort and difficulty, we all managed to get him to come to Getafe."
