Speculation linking Mbappe with Real Madrid continues to persist, even six years after their genesis, with Los Blancos having been interested in signing the French attacker ever since he was a prodigy breaking through at AS Monaco.
Now with Paris Saint-Germain, the 24-year-old's contract at the Parc des Princes is set to expire at the end of this season, and following Real's ineffectiveness in front of goal against arch-rivals Atletico Madrid on the weekend, the Mbappe rumours have once again intensified.
According to French news outlet Le Parisien, PSG are waiting to see what Real president Florentino Perez does before they try to initiate serious negotiations over an extension, but those attempts may be in vain if LALIGA president Javier Tebas' recent comments are anything to go by.
In a recent interview with Movistar+, he revealed although he could not be certain of Mbappe's arrival, there is a very good chance that the Spanish top flight will be the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner's home from next season.

"Convinced, no, but it is a destiny for him, for sure. I think he will be in the League next season, at 70% or 80%," the 61-year-old said.
