According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Felix looks set to join Barcelona in this transfer window.
The attacker has been linked with the Blaugrana since the market opened, while he has also publicly stated his desire to play for them.
Barca president Joan Laporta and some of his fellow executives are said to be keen to the idea of bringing the Portugal international to Catalonia.
The same report suggests that while manager Xavi Hernandez is not as eager to have the 23-year-old in his team, the close ties that Felix's agent, Jorge Mendes, has with Barca's top brass could prove pivotal in his hopes of getting the Viseu native out of Atletico and into the Camp Nou.
It is said the deal that would take the ex-Benfica wonderkid to Barca would be a loan deal that would cost Barcelona €7 to €8 million (R145 to R165 million), with the Catalan also needing to pay his weekly wages.
However, the total amount to be incurred for having the attacker at the club for the 2023/24 season is expected to be €20 million (R414 million), a lot of money given the club's financial situation.

The LALIGA champions will thus be looking to recoup more funds from offloading players before sealing a deal for Felix, with the likes of Sergino Dest and Clement Lenglet expected to be sold in the coming days.
