Having recently left Barcelona, one of the club's former players has now expressed his displeasure with the way club and head coach Xavi Hernandez treated him prior to his exit.

Reflecting on his final months with the Blaugrana, Riqui Puig, 23, has been critical of the treatment he received in the days leading up to his departure in July.
Now with LA Galaxy in the US, the La Masia graduate will embark on a new adventure after spending seven years at the Camp Nou.
"I am very disappointed with Barca and with Xavi," the Spanish midfielder told FOXDeportes.
"My last month at Barca was very difficult for me. Leaving a player out of the pre-season tour… I had never seen that before.
"I was with a few other teammates in Barcelona, who they [the club] also wanted to force out, while the squad played matches. I was hurt by it."
Several players have left Catalonia in the past few months as a result of the club's financial struggles, including Philippe Coutinho, who moved to Aston Villa on a permanent deal earlier in this window, and club legend Dani Alves, who left as a free agent but has since joined UNAM Pumas in Mexico.
Last season, Puig started only two games for the Blaugrana. Perhaps the signs were already there when the Spain youth international said the off-season was not the first time he felt unfairly treated.
"I never had a coach who fully trusted me. As a player, you can lose confidence but you can never lose continuity," he added.
"I have to thank Barcelona because I am who I am as a player thanks to them.
"The last part of my life at Barcelona was not how I wanted. I wasn't treated how I would have liked.
"But that can be forgotten, and that's that."
