7 Players Returning To Real Madrid

With the end of June fast approaching, there are seven players, including Gareth Bale, who are set to return to Real Madrid from loan spells ahead of the 2021/22 season, for which Carlo Ancelotti has replaced Zinedine Zidane in the club's dugout.

Many personnel changes are expected at the Spanish giants in this transfer window, but the club's financial situation might make bringing in new players difficult.

Ancelotti might, therefore, have to rely on working with a big squad until he finds a winning formula in Madrid, to where he has returned six years following his rather surprise sacking.

While David Alaba is the only player to have signed for Los Blancos in this window so far, the Italian manager could lean on those returning from various loan spells, such as Bale, who made 92 appearances for Real under Ancelotti between 2013 and 2015.

It is so far unknown as to what the club's plans are regarding the Wales captain, although it has been suggested that he could be sold due to his astronomical wages.

Norway international Martin Odegaard appears set to return to the Santiago Bernabeu after his season-long loan at Arsenal in the Premier League. The English side, however, are reportedly interested in signing him on a permanent basis.

Odegaard might be accompanied on his flight back to Spain by midfielder Dani Ceballos, who has already confirmed that his time in London has come to an end.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Brahim Diaz, who was on loan at AC Milan this past campaign, revealed he does not know what his future holds at this point, but will technically return to Los Blancos as of 1 July.
